The client was getting ready to launch their latest yacht and wished to create an event for its international debut.
Challenge
We decided to hold the gala event in the private marina of the Monte-Carlo Yacht club. Beyond carrying out the standard event management activities, we also had to build a structure that would hide the 28m Yacht before its unveiling (without causing any damages to the Ilumen, the yacht club or to any of the other surrounding yachts) and provide the evening’s entertainment by creating a customized show.
Outcome
The unveiling of the yacht was successfully executed without causing any damages. We used the Ilumen as a stage for the performance which featured a Cirque du Soleil artist who told the story of her family experience onboard the 28m yacht. The yacht has particularly large windows, so we used them to create some very dramatic lighting effects which highlighted the yacht’s special features. Many of the guests reported being totally “wowed” by the evening’s experience.
